The 2010 Single Figure Golfer Challenge Tour

The Single Figure Golfer Challenge Tour is a series of competitions - Order of Merit tournaments, Matchplay knockouts and one-off Opens - for players with a handicap of under 10. Golfers are competing for the chance to play in a 10-man team captained by Peter McEvoy against former Ryder, Walker and Solheim Cup players in the two-day Challenge Cup Final at Trevose Golf Club in October. Order of Merit:

A series of events for single figure golfers are held at courses throughout the UK where as an SFG Tour Card Holder you can earn points towards the SFG Order of Merit. There is a Northern and Southern order of merit with the top 21 in each region progressing to the respective end-of-season Qualifying School where the winners will earn a place in the SFG Challenge Cup Final team. A list of qualifying events along with entry-forms can be found below but you must be a SFG Tour Card Holder to accrue points.

Matchplay:

Three regional matchplay competitions will be held in 2010 with the winner of each section earning a place in the SFG Challenge Cup Final. There is a Northern, Southern and Scottish knockout - entry is FREE for any SFG Tour Card Holder.

SFG Opens:

Four one-off SFG Opens will be staged in 2010. These will be played at The Oxfordshire, Woodhall Spa plus a Scottish and Irish venue to be confirmed. The winner of each tournament will take their place in the SFG Challenge Cup Final. You do not have to be an SFG Tour Card Holder to enter one of these competitions but if you are then you will get a 20% discount off your entry-fee.
